About GaussMathematics
GaussMathematics is building a world data infrastructure for models that understand the world.
We work with virtual worlds, simulation systems, and physical environments to produce structured multimodal data engines for world models, robotics, and physical AI. Our work includes world-state snapshots, synchronized multi-view video, action-state trajectories, replayable traces, benchmark tasks, evaluation records, and customer-specific data pipelines.
We work with frontier teams building the next generation of spatial intelligence, embodied AI, robotics systems, generative video, simulation, and physical AI.
About the role
We are looking for a Simulation & 3D Data Engineer to build systems that turn virtual worlds, simulations, and 3D environments into structured data for world models and spatial intelligence.
This is an entrepreneurial, high-ownership engineering role at the intersection of real-time 3D, simulation, computer vision, data engineering, and AI model training. You will work on pipelines that capture scene structure, camera motion, object metadata, environment states, and replayable traces from complex virtual environments.
This is not a conventional 3D or game engineering role. The work requires understanding how interactive environments can become data engines for models that need to learn spatial consistency, dynamics, state, and controllable variation.
You will help define how virtual worlds become training and evaluation infrastructure for frontier AI teams.
What you will do
- Build pipelines for capturing structured data from virtual worlds, simulation systems, game engines, and 3D environments.
- Work with scene graphs, camera trajectories, object metadata, environment states, rendering outputs, and replayable traces.
- Design tools for extracting, synchronizing, validating, and packaging 3D and simulation-derived data.
- Work closely with infrastructure, ML, and customer delivery teams to produce model-ready datasets and data engines.
- Help create controllable data generation workflows for spatial intelligence, world models, generative video, and simulation teams.
- Improve repeatability, observability, and quality across simulation and 3D data pipelines.
- Build technical systems that respect customer permissions, confidentiality, and asset constraints.
- Turn complex environment behavior into structured records that can be used for training, post-training, and evaluation.
What we are looking for
- Experience with simulation systems, game engines, real-time 3D, graphics, computer vision, or 3D data pipelines.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to build reliable tools and pipelines.
- Familiarity with 3D concepts such as camera models, coordinate systems, meshes, materials, scene graphs, rendering, physics, or animation.
- Ability to reason about spatial structure, temporal consistency, and environment state.
- Comfort working with ambiguous technical requirements and customer-specific environments.
- Strong attention to detail and data quality.
- A builder mindset: you are excited to create new workflows, not just use existing tools.
Strong signals
- Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, Omniverse, Blender, robotics simulators, custom engines, or related 3D/simulation tools.
- Experience with Python, C++, TypeScript, or scripting inside engine environments.
- Familiarity with computer vision datasets, synthetic data, world models, generative video, spatial AI, or robotics simulation.
- Experience building capture tools, rendering pipelines, automation scripts, dataset generation systems, or simulation QA workflows.
- Experience in an early-stage company or a 0–1 technical environment.
What success looks like
Success in this role means turning complex virtual and simulated environments into structured, reliable, model-ready data systems.
You will help GaussMathematics build the technical bridge between interactive worlds and the models that need to understand them.
Why join
GaussMathematics is working on a foundational problem: how to turn complex environments into structured data systems for models that need to understand, predict, and act in the world.
This is an opportunity to work at the center of AI, simulation, 3D systems, and world data infrastructure.
