About GaussMathematics

GaussMathematics is building a world data infrastructure for models that understand the world.

We work with virtual worlds, simulation systems, and physical environments to produce structured multimodal data engines for world models, robotics, and physical AI. Our work includes world-state snapshots, synchronized multi-view video, action-state trajectories, replayable traces, benchmark tasks, evaluation records, and customer-specific data pipelines.

We work with frontier teams building the next generation of spatial intelligence, embodied AI, robotics systems, generative video, simulation, and physical AI.

About the role

We are looking for a Robotics Data Engineer, Embodied AI to build data workflows for robots, agents, and physical AI systems.

This is an entrepreneurial, high-ownership engineering role at the intersection of robotics, embodied AI, sensor data, data infrastructure, and model evaluation. You will work on systems that capture, structure, validate, and deliver action-state trajectories, demonstrations, recovery behavior, sensor streams, task states, and evaluation records.

This is not a conventional robotics engineering role focused only on control or hardware. The work is about turning robot behavior and embodied interaction into high-quality data systems for models that need to act in the world.

You will help define how embodied AI data should be captured, structured, evaluated, and delivered.

What you will do

  • Build data workflows for robot demonstrations, action-state trajectories, sensor streams, task states, and recovery behavior.
  • Design schemas and tools for synchronized multimodal robotics records.
  • Work with video, proprioception, actions, environment state, task metadata, and evaluation outcomes.
  • Build validation and QA tools for embodied AI datasets and evaluation sets.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, ML, simulation, and customer delivery teams to create model-ready robotics data.
  • Help define workflows for collecting, cleaning, curating, versioning, and delivering robotics and embodied AI data.
  • Translate complex robot tasks and failure modes into structured records for training and evaluation.
  • Build with safety, confidentiality, and customer trust in mind.

What we are looking for

  • Strong interest or experience in robotics, embodied AI, physical AI, autonomous systems, or sensor data.
  • Engineering ability to build reliable data tools, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with robotics concepts such as actions, trajectories, sensors, task states, demonstrations, control loops, or evaluation protocols.
  • Comfort working with multimodal data and time-synchronized records.
  • Good judgment in ambiguous, early, and customer-specific technical settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality.
  • A builder mindset: you are excited to create the workflow, not just run one.

Strong signals

  • Experience with ROS, robotics datasets, robot learning, manipulation, mobile robots, autonomous systems, or embodied AI workflows.
  • Familiarity with cameras, depth sensors, proprioception, actions, logs, teleoperation, demonstrations, or robot evaluation.
  • Experience with Python, C++, data pipelines, sensor synchronization, or robotics tooling.
  • Familiarity with VLA models, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, policy evaluation, or embodied AI benchmarks.
  • Experience in an early-stage company, robotics lab, AI lab, or 0–1 technical environment.

What success looks like

Success in this role means building the systems that turn embodied behavior into structured, high-quality data for models that need to act in the world.

You will help GaussMathematics build the data layer for robotics and physical AI.

Why join

GaussMathematics is working on a foundational problem: how to turn complex environments into structured data systems for models that need to understand, predict, and act in the world.

This is an opportunity to work at the center of robotics, embodied AI, and world data infrastructure.
